After a devastating fire that destroyed their beloved Brookfield location, Oscar's Frozen Custard is set to reopen its doors in April. The fire in November 2024 not only damaged the building but also destroyed the vintage custard machines, essential for the unique taste of Oscar's custard. The Taylors, the owners, embarked on a nationwide search for replacement machines, finding two Leon's double frozen custard freezers, built in 1984, which are crucial for their premium custard. Half of the staff at the West Allis location originally worked at the Brookfield restaurant, and every beam, board, and piece of drywall that goes in brings them one step closer to returning home.
